I especially love summer rainstorms when its warmer outside. I like to go out under the back patio and watch it. Usually I have my camera in an attempt to get lightning photos, which is pretty tricky to predict when and where they will strike...
Today I decided to take a photo of this cool barn thats down the street from our house. I loved the way the blue sky was peeking out between the clouds just above the barn and the way the storm clouds look so dark and angry...

I love thunderstorms too! There's a sense of calm that comes with rain an lightening. Its an odd sense of controlled chaos. What type of setting did you use?
ReplyDeleteHey Hailey! For this pic I actually shot it at 1/250 & f6.3 and an ISO of 125 with my white balance set at cloudy. The barn was actually pretty dark in the final photo, the sun was setting fast and the storm clouds were covering most of my natural light that was left, so I had to lighten the buildings & trees in photoshop afterwards, so they didnt look like sillouettes against the sky.
