I thought all day about all I needed to get done at the house, and when I got home I got right to it.... after a while Steve asked if we would all go for a drive. I hesitated because I was in the middle of organizing one of the many messes in the house right now and I'm the type that likes to get tasks finished before stopping or doing something else....He took us all up to the Dam to see how full the lake is right now. It was cold and windy, but the kids enjoyed looking at all the debris floating in the water, and talking about where they will fish during the tournament in May & I got some pictures.... Then later on my way home from dropping off Ethan at youth group I heard the new song "Blink" by Revive.... Life really does happen in a blink. You've gotta slow down sometimes and just enjoy it....
Plenty of people miss their share of happiness, not because they never found it, but because they didn't stop to enjoy it.”
Kelly,
ReplyDeleteThose are the memories you will remember. Steve grew up going on family rides. I remember the last weekend ride we took with his dad. Steve had worked all night at Sunset Market. When he came home Joe and I were loading the car and Steve said dad where are you going. Joe told him to the trinity alps to fly fish. Steve went in got his fishing stuff and slept in the back seat for the trip. Joe caught no fish and Steve caught several. Steve never missed a chance to go for a ride. I think God meant for us to build those memories while enjoying all his beauty.
